The Kisei titleholder is Yamashita Keigo. I also covered 2007 Kisei title, when Yamashita defended his title against Kobayashi Satoru, and 2008 Kisei title when Yamashita defended his title against Cho Chikun.
This year the challenger is Yoda Norimoto.

Yamashita won the first game by 1.5 points.
Game 2
Yamashita won game 2 by 0.5 points.
Game 3
Yoda broke Yamashita's winning streak and won game 3 by 0.5 points.
Game 4
Yoda evened the score: he defeated Yamashita by resignation in game 4.
Game 5
Yamashita won by 5.5 points, after building a lot of thickness in the center by attacking Yoda's weak group on the right side very early in the game.
Game 6
Yamashita, playing white, won the 6th game by 2.5p after building a lot of thickness in the center early on, which translated into a big moyo.
